Simulation Model Exchange Standards documents

The AIAA Flight Dynamics Model Exchange Standard, ANSI/AIAA-S-119-2011, is now available from the AIAA website; it is free for download to AIAA members or can be purchased here.

The draft AIAA/ANSI standard was initially submitted to the AIAA Standards Committee in October 2007 and was re-submitted in October 2008. It was revised in February 2009 and was made available for initial public comments during August 2009.

Based in part on comments received and a re-consideration of the variable naming scheme, the draft was revised and re-submitted to AIAA with revisions on April 2010. This corresponds with the release of DAVE-ML DTD 2.0 Release Candidate 3. This version was made available for public comment from Nov through Dec 2010; it was subsequently approved by AIAA, with minor modifications, and was approved by ANSI for publication on 22 March 2011.
